Level 2 of the Busy Beavers Online Resources begins where Level 1 ends.
Many of the simple sentences and vocabulary introduced in Level 1 are expanded on
in Level 2. For example The Shopping Song is a companion piece to the
The House Song which moves from exploring the rooms in the home to exploring
the world outside our home and the community around us.
The topics introduced in Level 2 range from the days of the week, weather, feelings,
food, talking about our likes and dislikes, places in the neighborhood and
answering negatively to questions.
At the end of Level 2 students will be able to have small conversations about a
variety of topics.
There are lots of fun, catchy songs with colorful, animated videos to help present
the target vocabulary for each section. The lesson videos help students learn to
speak in full sentences by asking and answering questions. This is one of the
fundamental principles of the Busy Beaver method.
Students will get plenty of writing practice and teachers will save countless hours
of preparation time thanks to the over 350 worksheets which accompany this level.
The Teachers’ Tips at the bottom of every section provide great ideas for classroom
activities and ways to expand on the material in each lesson.
